I have previously set up and managed a Birmingham-wide alcohol counselling service as well as programme, project-managed and commissioned in the areas of communities, community development, community and service-user engagement, training, communications and strategy within Sandwell’s, statutory drug and alcohol action team and the Council’s Public health department.

I have also written and published a book (with AuthorHouse UK, Nov. 2013) relating to the human condition, counselling, psychology and psychological well-being, which can be seen at:

How I work with clients

My counselling approach is integrative and eclectic (i.e. using whichever counselling approach or approaches work best for the client): including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), humanistic/person-centred, existential, mindfulness and positive psychology. I work with both individuals and couples.
